Mitsubishi LVP-HC100U; VLT-HC910LP Projector Lamp

Three years out of production, the Mitsubishi LVP-HC100U is still one of the best projectors on the market with its stunning image quality, consistent brightness and reliable lamp life, you’ll own one for a very long time. First in production back early 2005, its original price made a splash at an incredibly low $1500 USD! Now out of production, you’ll be lucky to find one, since owners have a hard time parting with it.

The 1300 ANSI lumens may not appear to be much on paper, however simply turn on your LVP-HC100U and you will notice an extremely bright image. This is mostly due to the effectiveness of Mitsubishi craftsmanship and the integration of a high powered lens which allows a throw ratio of 100 inches from a distance of 3.6 meters. Also built in to this machine is Vertical Lens shift allowing you to correct the position without having to adjust the position itself. Getting back to the brightness, the HC100U is powered by a 200W projector lamp which will last you an average of 2000 hours. It can last up to 3000 hours on eco-mode, however it not recommended since you lose a considerable amount of light output and quite honestly you may not get the extra hours in the end. If you need to purchase the lamp module for this projector click the here VLT-HC910LP

Another asset is the 2000:1 Contrast Ratio, which gives the viewer a real Television Style experience. In simpler terms, this means that the dark images will really stand out in comparison to your lighter images much like when you watch an LCD TV. One feature that I do not exactly understand, however it may be used as a method of testing your projector, is the 2 Watt Monaural Speaker. I can understand that this may be effective when used for smaller presentations, however if you require real sound you’ll want to keep it turned off.

Mitsubishi does a good job in manufacturing its projectors, and rarely have I heard of a problem with any of their models. The HC100U is pretty basic in many respects, but you’ll find that even demanding home theatre enthusiasts will appreciate the viewing experience.
